The Path To Freedom Includes Grief

TLDR: but at least you get to be there for them…

Literally, the morning after I pressed-pause on a well-paying software contract, I receive an RSVP for a celebration of life regarding a Dear old friend of mine whose passing is devastating, especially for those of us that knew her when she was at her best.

Yes, there is grief, but at least we can celebrate her life.

That’s when it dawned on me … I couldn’t celebrate her life right if I didn’t just the day prior, set myself free!!!

I don’t know if you are into numerology and things like that, and, I still don’t know if I am either, but, it’s hard to deny that I really don’t know anything, until I see some familiar pattern and something tells me, that’s the decision to make. I didn’t know I’d choose to make it my last day with the team until the day of, but it made sense, because, we kinda had a virtual party.

It’s a lot easier to grieve the passing of a friend when you know she was loved and cared for and the people you are going to meet will have stories too.

It’s a lot easier to grieve someone’s passing when you have the time, space, and energy to get out into nature and think clearly about their importance to the world. It also reminds me to continue to be considerate in who my friends are because celebrating the life of a good person is not the worse thing to be able to do with one’s freedom.

It is also a great reminder as to how to spend one’s blessed time here. Timing isn’t really an accident once we start paying attention as I can see now.

We make our moves based on things happening around us, even when we don’t know the details.

It’s also a great reminder that the teams/communities we align ourselves with … we have to be able to trust that their mission is pure and good.

What are the motivations that have been driving this country for so long?

Why are so many of us so ready to make our own moves? What is it about now? Is it the technology? Is it the access we have to information? Is it the wealth of knowledge that hasn’t ever been accessible before now? Haven’t we had access to this knowledge for quite a while?

Why now? But when has technology been SOOO accessible AND user friendly AND accurate?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
