Just Be Normal
If you like being around women…and you want them to like being around you.
You may have heard women throw out the phrase, “Just Be Normal” and maybe that confuses you a bit. I finally figured out what that actually means. It’s shorthand for a lot of things actually, but they are all related.
It means, be friendly, be chill, be relatable, be fun to be around, but, also, don’t try too hard. See, men and boys have a tendency to expect too much of themselves. We tend to think, I’ll be the best runner, and then, I’ll have a lot of women around me.
Nope. Nothing could be further from the truth. What attracts women is not just one thing. So, being the best at one thing might get you in the door, but, you’ll get thrown out pretty quickly if you are one dimensional.
Maybe you’re the best at wrestling, but, maybe you suck as a conversationalist. Maybe you’re great at chess, but, maybe you don’t have any other hobbies, so, you’re actually pretty boring.
You don’t got to concerts or festivals … you never check out live music, you don’t know any of the art museums or farmer’s markets, so, you’d have nothing to talk about with women. Dude, you don’t even walk around and explore your own town, so, what could you possibly have to talk about?
That’s what women mean by being normal. Because, when you’re normal, you’re calm. You don’t go around trying to boss people around.
You aren’t overly aggressive with women … you just let them get to know you and eventually, they start feeling comfortable around you, then, they want to know more about you and once they know you, they start to fall in love with you.
They like your energy. They like having conversations with you. They no longer shit test you, because, they already know you’re legit and you aren’t the type of dude that freaks out and gets all emotional and in his feelings when certain things don’t go his way.
So, now, you’re comfortable with yourself and it doesn’t matter who’s around … you’re happy to be you. So now, you always seem happy, because you are happy.
You have boundaries; so, when a woman crosses those boundaries, you don’t stand for it. You let her know that crossing those boundaries wasn’t cool and you part ways. You part ways freely because you know, you are one rooftop bar away from meeting another cool chick who respects your boundaries and doesn’t openly disrespect you.
